This year hasn’t been great for Lady Gaga, but she’s not one to sit around and mope. After cancelling her Born This Way tour, and parting ways with her longtime manager earlier this year, Gaga has announced a massive tour to support her latest album ARTPOP.
Next May, Gaga will start her tour in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, following her residency at the Roseland Ballroom in New York. The ARTPOP tour will make stops in several cities where she canceled tour dates earlier this year in order to get hip surgery. Tickets for the tour will go on sale beginning December 9th, though Gaga is holding a presale today, beginning at 2 p.m. EST, on LittleMonsters.com.
Despite having a rocky year, Lady Gaga has kept busy for most of 2013. She performed at the MTV Video Music Awards and also filmed a holiday special with the Muppets titled Lady Gaga and The Muppets Holiday Spectacular.
Only 249,846 copies of ARTPOP have been sold (which is small potatoes when compared to Born This Way sales), and the album only lasted one week at No. 1. But Gaga has a loyal fan-base. Also, she’s known for her extravagant and entertaining shows, so chances are this tour will sell out quickly, just like the previous ones.
