Kristen Stewart's Debut Balenciaga's Florabotanica Ad: First Look!

It was recently revealed that she's joining the many stars to foray into the fragrance world, and now Kristen Stewart can be seen in her first ad while also having opened up about the beauty product endeavor.

As for the particulars, the "Twilight" actress was tapped to front Balenciaga Paris' new women’s scent named Florabotanica - with the perfume slated to be released this September.

Also talking about her fashion sense, new movie role and acting, in general, highlights from Miss Stewart's Florabotanica-based interview with WWD are as follows:

On her fragrance gig being an unlikely one:
“On a base level, the reason you want to wear a fragrance is because you want to smell attractive. That in itself is a pretty mature idea, especially considering the teenager I was. I was never the one wearing my mom’s perfume and trying to be sexy. I was like hanging out with my brothers and doing the opposite of that."

On her relief in being pleased with the scent:
“I’m very lucky that I like the fragrance, because I would have done anything with [Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquière]. And I’m a terrible liar.. There is something natural about it. It’s very alive. I think that as a young person wearing it — considering that I’ve never worn a scent — it kind of puts you on this level of, like, ‘Whoa, check me out.’”

On feeling “lucky” and “really excited” about the fragrance effort:
“Even though, yes, it’s an ad and we’re selling a fragrance — I don’t want to sound pretentious — but I want to be part of this art project. I want to be around Nicolas when he gets excited about fabric. I want to see the look on his face when he sees me put on a dress.”

On the print campaign, which was photographed by Steven Meisel:
“I think that’s kind of perfect for this particular ad. When I first stood there, I was like, ‘OK, do you want me to show the curves of the dress? Do you want me to stand like this? Like that (striking statuesque poses)?’ And they were like, ‘Just be comfortable.’ I find when you do a really good photo shoot, you’ve unlocked something that you didn’t necessarily know you had in you. There are qualities that certain clothes, or certain environments and certain people, bring to the surface that can be surprising. But that doesn’t mean that they’re not authentic.”

On her style icon and not being influenced by others when it comes to fashion:
“I think the hottest chick that’s ever walked the earth is Brigitte Bardot, and I couldn’t be more different from her. So my style icons and stuff, even if I look up to them and think they’re really cool, I don’t think [they find their] way into my own sense of fashion.”

On her transformation for her upcoming role in 'Cali':
“I’m going to get into the best shape of my life. I’m going to look like a stripper. I’m going to look like a porn star.”

On acting being all about self-discovery, for her:
“A lot of times, you’ll read a script and you can identify with things that are very surprising, things that kind of shock you about yourself. And the process of making the movie is finding out why those feelings occurred. Sometimes they’re not always easy to define.”

EXCLUSIVE: Tweet PARTIES IT UP At NYC Gay Pride, DISHES On Her Return To Music Business

Blast from the past! Tweet was spotted partying in NYC with Matt Barnes and Gloria Govan after her performance for the 2012 "21-toDrink.com " Gay Pride concert.  And since we've been wondering where she's been lately after hitting the scene 10 years ago, TheYBF.com caught up with the Southern Hummingbird about her return to the music business......

This past weekend, Tweet performed at Irving Plaza in NYC for 21-toDrink's KAOS Party where she hung out with L.A. Laker Matt Barnes and "L.A. Basketball Wife" Gloria Govan backstage. And since we haven't heard from her in a while, we chatted with the young looking fab mom (she's 40!) about leaving and returning to the game.  As well as her performance for the Gay Pride concert.

Tweet tells TheYBF, "Music has no color, no race and no creed.....you are free to love whoever you want to love.  I'm here to deliver music and I love everybody."

The "Oops (Oh My)" singer also revealed to TheYBF.com that she's working on her third album, Simply Tweet (due later this year), after making a return to the music business.  She said she left the business a few years ago after her spirit was shaken by negative experiences associated with the industry.

She revealed that she became bitter because she felt cheated out of her money and lost her way spiritually.

But now, Tweet is spiritually grounded again and ready to give fans the music they want!  In the meantime, she plans to release new music every Tuesday via her website and Twitter accounts for Tweet Tuesdays.

Listen to her latest drop "Daydreaming" below:

Welcome back Tweet!

Jennifer Hudson Talks Music & Motherhood

Jennifer Blows A Kiss

Jennifer Hudson is passing her love of music – and her Grammy-winning talent – on to her 2 1/2-year-old son David. The 30-year-old star talks music and motherhood in a new interview with Parade.com – and dishes on her wedding plans as well!

On her musical son: “He’s growing up with a musical background and music is a huge part of our household. It’s a huge way I communicate with him. He didn’t want to go to bed the other day and wanted to sing for me. He tried to grab the mic stand and perform ‘Proud Mary’— not that knew all the words! But he got enough of it and did a good job. He really responds. When I perform, he’ll tell me if he thinks I did good.”

On how motherhood has surprised her: “It made me realize how much my mom loved me and how much patience it takes. I think of the things my mom did for me and so I have to do it for my son. Now that I have a child, I get it. I get the example she set. It’s not always easy but it’s for love. You realize how much you can love and how much you give up for your child as a parent. I’m learning that through him.”

On her upcoming wedding: “My son won’t have it any other way: he’ll definitely be a part of it. Maybe he’ll even sing!”

Adam Lambert's 'Whole Lotta Love': The Story Behind The Cover

Glam rocker tackled the legendary 1970 Led Zeppelin song for 'American Idol' rock night.
By Gil Kaufman

<P>Imagine a freight train speeding toward you at midnight. Or a rockslide barreling down a hill as you try to outrace it. That's the feeling of the ominous, chugging Jimmy Page riff that kicks off <MTVNLINK type="url" id="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/led_zeppelin/artist.jhtml">Led Zeppelin</MTVNLINK>'s 1970 Stonehenge of rock, "Whole Lotta Love." And that's before singer Robert Plant leans into one of the nastiest, ecstatic rock screams this side of the Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again."</P><P>That's the song Adam Lambert chose to sing on <a href="/news/articles/1610708/adam-allison-shine-on-idol-rock-night.jhtml">"American Idol" rock night</a> Tuesday (May 5), and, needless to say, it was a challenge that the eyeliner-loving Los Angeles stage veteran was more than up for, hitting a series of high notes and rock screams that would have made Plant proud. It was a risky maneuver that paid off for Lambert, who chose a tune that came in at #75 on <I>Rolling Stone</i> magazine's list of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" in 2004.</P><P></p><div style="margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px; float: left;"> <embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtvmusic.com:84215" width="256" height="223" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" flashVars="dist=http://www.mtvmusic.com" allowFullScreen="true" AllowScriptAccess="always"></embed></div><p></P><P>The legendary British rock act recorded the tribute to Chicago blues icon Willie Dixon during their second U.S. tour after working it out in their live show, including it on their 1969 classic album <I>Led Zeppelin II.</i> Like many of the songs Zeppelin performed early in their career, "Love" was a blues standard turned on its head with a heavy dose of crunching psychedelic guitar and thundering drums, courtesy of late drummer John Bonham. The song was based on a 1962 tune by another blues forefather, Muddy Waters, called "You Need Love," which was penned by Dixon.</P><P>For Zeppelin's version, Plant customized the lyrics by adding some lyrical quotes from a few other songs Dixon wrote for Howlin' Wolf, "Back Door Man" and "Shake For Me," nailing the tricky vocal in a single take. It was also inspired by 1966's "You Need Loving" from the British rock group the Small Faces, for whom Zeppelin had great affection, but they also did not credit Dixon for his part in writing the original lyrics. The song became Zeppelin's first U.S. single and their only U.S. top 10 hit. Though their manager would not let them release singles in the U.K. because he thought it cannibalized album sales, the song was finally released as the band's only British single in 1997.</P><P>Dixon sued Zeppelin over the song in 1985, claiming it borrowed too heavily from his "You Need Love," and Zeppelin reached an agreement with him, with Dixon using the money he received to set up a program that provided musical instruments for schools. A cornerstone of heavy rock, the tune -- which was the theme song for the long-running British countdown show "Top of the Pops" in the 1970s and '80s -- has been covered by dozens of artists over the years, from Tina Turner and Ben Harper to Prince, Slash, Leona Lewis, Train's Pat Monahan, the London Symphony Orchestra and Jane's Addiction.</P><P><b>Get your "Idol" fix on MTV News' <a href="/news/articles/1486475/mtv-news-american-idol.jhtml">"American Idol" page</a>, where you'll find all the latest news, interviews and opinions.</b></p>

Stage Collapses Prior To Radiohead Performance, Killing One Crew Member

Stage Collapses Prior To Radiohead Performance, Killing One Crew Member

A stage at Downsview Park in Toronto collapsed on Sunday afternoon  just a few hours before Radiohead were set to play before a sold-out crowd on the very same stage.  The band was not on the stage at the time of the collapse, but three others were injured and, unfortunately, one man was killed.

Rolling Stone notes that a scaffolding type structure collapsed approximately 40 to 60 feet above the main stage area.  This occurred while the victims were setting up for the 4 PM concert.  There were no heavy winds or inclement weather at the time.

A message on Radiohead’s website quickly announced that tickets would be refunded, and that fans should not come to the venue.

It was reported that the person killed was Radiohead’s drum technician, Scott Johnson.  Radiohead’s drummer Philip Selway later confirmed that it was indeed Johnson, 33, who died in the accident.

“We have all been shattered by the loss of Scott Johnson, our friend and colleague. He was a lovely man, always positive, supportive and funny; a highly skilled and valued member of our great road crew. We will miss him very much. Our thoughts and love are with Scott’s family and all those close to him.”

The accident comes on the heels of a stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair last August, killing seven; last July, a stage collapsed on Cheap Trick mid-performance.

What do you think about the incidents?  Should more be done concerning concert safety?

Usher's Looking 4 Myself: The Reviews Are In!

Critics are mostly positive about the new release, with one calling it, 'at its best, a truly next-level soul album.'
By Kara Warner

<P>Given the incredibly fast-paced, blink-and-you-miss-it, flash-in-the-pan, hit-singles-or-bust state of the music industry these days, career longevity is almost as difficult for an artist to achieve as fame and recognition itself. R&B superstar <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/usher/artist.jhtml">Usher</a> is clearly an exception, as Tuesday (June 12) marks the release of the seventh studio album in his 18-year career. <a href="/news/articles/1686990/usher-looking-4-myself-evolution.jhtml">Usher has said</a> that <i>Looking 4 Myself</i> represents an "evolution" for him in several ways, and judging from the positive reviews, critics seem to agree. Without further ado, let's take a tour through the <i>Looking 4 Myself</i> reviews.</P><P><b><big>The Story of "Myself"</big></b><br> "To the list of people who've had mind-altering experiences at Coachella, you can add Usher. In April he was a surprise guest at the music festival, and he says his seventh album, <i>Looking 4 Myself,</i> was inspired by the eclectic acts he saw there, including Euro-disco champs Swedish House Mafia (who produced two songs for <i>L4M</i>) and Aussie synth-rockers Empire of the Sun (who guest on the title track). Even Usher's new look off stage &#8212; the Buddy Holly glasses, the facial scruff &#8212; suggests that he's warming to indie music. Did he go into Coachella as a Top 40 guy and come out a hipster? Well, he's not exactly taking a stand against party-rock anthems here. <i>Looking 4 Myself</i> still sounds like the Usher you know; it's just a little more interesting than his usual onslaught of skull-pounding beats and silk-sheets ballads." &#8212; Melissa Maerz, <a href="http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20601576,00.html" target="_blank"><i>Entertainment Weekly</i></a></P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Looking 4 Myself Can't Be 'Categorized'" id="vid:767986.id:1685137" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P><b><big>The EDM Influence</big></b><br> "In the interviews surrounding the release of Usher's seventh album, <i>Looking 4 Myself,</i> the singer discussed the wide variety of music that influenced the set, ranging from electronic dance music to folk-rockers Mumford &amp; Sons. And while there's a prominent EDM sound on many of the tracks (folk, not so much), the sound has fused seamlessly with R&B, making <i>Looking 4 Myself,</i> at its best, a truly next-level soul album. One that has the warm, organic feel of R&B and deep pop hooks, but also the pulsating low-end and shimmering keyboard flourishes of EDM." &#8212; Jem Aswad, <a href="http://www.billboard.com/new-releases/album-review-usher-looking-4-myself-1007278752.story?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter#/new-releases/album-review-usher-looking-4-myself-1007278752.story?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter" target="_blank">Billboard.com</a></P><P><b><big>Sonorous Surprises</big></b><br> "A number of surprises lurk within, though. 'Twisted' is the most disruptive track on the album, and proves that production duo the Neptunes are still able to time-travel back from the future to offer another dose of innovation. The rhythm is ridiculous, the kind that the Virginia team of Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo are experts at creating. Jim Jonsin's catchy rhythm on 'Lemme See' finds its groove when Rick Ross parks his Lamborghini on the track's lawn for a cameo. (Pharrell, by contrast, raps of rolling on another kind of vehicle, '20 of us on Vespas and mopeds,' cruising the city and offering a girl a gift of white lipstick.) The biggest outlier on <i>Looking 4 Myself</i> is Usher's collaboration with Australian progressive electronic group Empire of the Sun on the title track. The song, which features Empire lead singer Luke Steele, is a new wave ditty with a beat that wouldn't sound out of place on a Hall &amp; Oates or later-period Steely Dan record." &#8212; Randall Roberts, <a href="http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/music_blog/2012/06/album-review-ushers-looking-4-myself.html" target="_blank"><i>Los Angeles Times</i></a></P><P><b><big>The Final Word</big></b><br> "<i>Looking 4 Myself</i> covers a lot of ground, from the modernized, shouting soul of 'Twisted' to the jaunty new wave of the surprising title track, a catchy collaboration with Luke Steele of the Of Montreal-esque synth-pop band Empire of the Sun. Not all of it works, but none of it is unpleasant, either, something that couldn't be said of the previous releases from the single-and-on-the-prowl phase of Usher's career. Unlike <i>Raymond</i> or <i>Versus,</i> with their dutiful adherence to Top 40 templates, a sense of freedom and exploration carries through <i>Looking 4 Myself</i> that makes it feel unique from any other Usher album. Although few of these songs rank among his best, it's a pleasure to hear a great performer branch out, following whims and taking risks as he tests new ways to work his voice." &#8212; Evan Rytlewski, <a href="http://www.avclub.com/articles/usher-looking-4-myself,80961/" target="_blank">The A.V. Club</a></P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Usher Previews A Clip Of His 'Scream' Performance Video" id="vid:767987.id:1685137" width="415" height="255"></div><p></p>

News</I></a> reported that Murray filed a <a href="/news/articles/1675343/conrad-murray-conviction-appeal.jhtml">notice of appeal</a> in Los Angeles Superior Court in which he claimed that he is "indigent and respectfully requests the appointment of counsel on appeal."</P><P>Murray, 58, is planning to appeal both his conviction and his sentence, but has not yet filed papers with the California Appeals Court. He had hired two lawyers to handle his manslaughter case, but is now seeking attorneys with appeal experience. One of those former lawyers, J. Michael Flanagan, told E! that he was shocked at how his client is being treated in jail.</P><P>"It is crazy and unbelievable how [the sheriffs] are treating" Murray in jail, said Flanagan, who claimed he waited over an hour to see Murray, who was brought out in handcuffs and leg chains. Flanagan was further shocked to see Murray handcuffed to the table for their meeting, something the lawyer said he'd never seen before in the case of a low-level, non-violent offender.</P><P>Charles Peckham, who is handling civil cases against Murray, told the <a href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/doctor-convicted-in-michael-jacksons-death-seeking-court-paid-attorney-for-appeal/2011/12/13/gIQAHIYGsO_story.html" target="_blank"><I>Associated Press</I></a> that his client is under tight security and isolation that is more intense than other inmates at the Los Angeles Men's Central Jail.</P><P>"Treating him like Hannibal Lecter is offensive," said Peckham. "This man who saved lives made a mistake, and they're going to [make] him pay like a mass-murderer." Sheriff's officials defended the tight security, saying it was for Murray's safety.</p>

White Hot Kim Kardashian's Sherman Oaks Studio Stop

She's all business all the time, and Kim Kardashian was back at it as she paid a visit to a local studio in Sherman Oaks, CA on Thursday (June 28).

The 31-year-old brunette beauty looked summertime stylish in a sleeveless white top, white ripped skinny jeans and matching designer heels during the midday excursion.

The sighting comes just after Kim confirmed that Oprah Winfrey will be making an appearance on her family's hit E! reality series, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians".

Voicing her excitement, Miss Kardashian took to her blog to dish about the special guest star, writing, "Make sure you guys stay tuned to this season of 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' because we'll have a very special guest appearing on the show ... Oprah Winfrey!"

Kim enthusiastically added, "We filmed the behind the scenes of our interview with Oprah for the show, so I'm excited for you all to see how things went down with Oprah and the OWN crew at my mom's house! It was an incredible day for us all and one we will never forget."

Beyonce Serenades Michelle Obama, Cements Comeback In Atlantic City

Queen B ascends her throne during the second in a four-night run of Memorial Day weekend shows.
By Rebecca Thomas

<P><b>ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey</b> &#8212; The "year of 4" continues.</P><P>Four months after giving birth to her first child &#8212; an arrival announced last August <a href="/news/articles/1669858/beyonce-vma-performance.jhtml">at the MTV VMAs</a> &#8212; <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/knowles_beyonce/artist.jhtml">Beyonc&#233;</a> returned to the stage Saturday night, on the second of a four-night run in this East Coast resort city. And it was a spectacular fitting her rising icon status.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Beyonce Gets Back To Business, Kicks Off Summer!" id="vid:785342" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>So what kinds of clues get 20somethings calling you "the greatest performer" of your generation? Well, it's in the details. For one, Revel, the sparkling, 6.3-million-square-foot beachfront destination that played host to <a href="/news/articles/1685877/beyonce-memorial-day-atlantic-city-concert.jhtml">Beyonc&#233;'s comeback</a>, devoted a channel on its guest-room flat-screen TVs solely to B-related content: no weather broadcasts, nary a "Housewife" and no commercial breaks; just videos, all-star performances and more, all through Memorial Day weekend. It was evident in the distance traveled, too, with fans telling MTV News they'd made cross-country pilgrimages, while still others came from as far as Tokyo and South Africa to hail Queen B.</P><P>But those are just the hints, peripheral proof. The presence of First Lady Michelle Obama at last night's concert left little doubt that the little girl from Houston, who joined a girl group and then struck out on her own, had seen another benchmark in her relatively young career. After <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/04/13/michelle-obama-thanks-beyonce-for-letter">exchanging letters</a> in recent months, with each calling the other a role model for girls, Obama turned up in a sleeveless green sheath waving like royalty from a balcony in Ovation Hall.</P><P>A little after 10 p.m., as the pounding opening march from "End of Time" kicked in, Beyonc&#233; appeared in silhouette; the sequins were hard to make out but the wind-blown mane was <i>impossible</i> to miss. Finally, B, stunning in hot pink Stuart Weitzman heels and a beaded body suit, appeared on the massive stage backed by her dancers.</P><P>"Atlantic City, snap your fingers," she commanded, launching into "Love on Top." Without missing a step of the New Edition-inspired choreography, B powered through the song's modulations in an extended vocal showcase. Then she took an exaggerated pause, as if to catch her breath (or to bask in the adulation?), before belting out a final coda. The 30-year-old's comeback was officially under way.</P><P>Pushing through hits from her debut solo effort, including "Naughty Boy" and the dancehall-infused "Baby Boy," and <i>Sasha Fierce</i> smashes like "Diva," B defied all post-partum laws as she kept pace with Frank Gatson's acrobatic dance style. ("Y'all don't know how hard I had to work. I had to lose 60 pounds!" she laughed to the crowd later. "They had me eating lettuce.") And just as songs like "Single Ladies" and "Run the World (Girls)" are meant to serve as empowerment manuals for women, it became clear last night that Beyonc&#233;'s choreography is meant to do the same: a series of sensual quickstep moves that revolve around the hips and legs. It showed in the Fosse-style swing and formations on songs like "Get Me Bodied," and the strut-heavy footwork on "Freakum Dress."</P><P>"Sasha Fierce disappeared, but y'all bringing her back," B joked midway through the euphoric two-hour set.</P><P>For one of our favorite numbers, "Party," the <i>4</i> singer donned full-on showgirl regalia in a heady rendition that saw confetti coming from the roof and dice-shaped beach balls being tossed through the crowd as dancers in large feathered headdresses magically turned up in the aisles.</P><P>There were ballads, of course, at Ovation Hall, the more memorable among them a tribute to Whitney Houston and a cover of Lauryn Hill's classic "Ex Factor." And if Beyonc&#233; reminded us of what we've lost in those gut-wrenching covers &#8212; she proved, too, that she's more than ready to carry the weight on her shoulders.</P><P><i>Share your reviews of Beyonc&#233;'s Revel shows in the comments!</i></p>

Matt Barnes Talks Groupies & Bathroom Sex With Gloria In BLEU Magazine

Matt Barnes is covering the new issue of the men's fashion magazine BLEU.  And the L.A. Laker is dishing all about his on-again off-again "Basketball Wives LA" star girlfriend Gloria Govan...and why he's unimpressed by the groupies in the league.

Peep his cover and London bathroom sex worthy quotables inside....

The Laker forward is posing on the cover of the new issue of BLEU, in what looks like his own gear out his own closet.  During his cover interview, Matt gave a little insight into how he and his babies' mom Gloria get down.

On ignoring the groupie chicks around the league

"In the league, women come a dime a dozen. Not to sound stuck-up or anything, but that's just how it is. At some point you have to wake up and realize what your priorities are. Some guys wake up sooner than others. I woke up and I realized what was important to me."

On getting jealous of Gloria's relationships with other men during their breakups

"You like to go into a situation saying yes we are always going to be together forever and what's mine is yours, what's yours is mine, but sometimes it doesn't work out like that."

"Even when Gloria and I were dating other people, when people would say things about her, it bothered me. Even though we weren't together it was something that made me mad you know? It's different when they are talking about the mother of your children."

On how he and Gloria stay sexually happy

"So sometimes that means middle of the day sex. Sometimes that means after lunch you go and have sex in the bathroom. We do things outside the norm. I think we were in London last year in a really fancy nice restaurant and....the bathroom."

Matt is also prepping for his annual basketball camp with EA Sports for kids in the Bay.

Justin Bieber: Six Degrees Of Believe

MTV News dissects how Drake, Nicki Minaj, Big Sean and Ludacris ended up on Bieber's new album.
By Jocelyn Vena

<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> reached deep into the <a href="/news/articles/1688047/justin-bieber-hip-hop-swag.jhtml">hip-hop community</a> for the collaborations on his just-released <i>Believe</i>.</P><P>But, his producers on the album leave just as much a stamp on the sound of the recording as his lyrical comrades do on what it says. For that reason, while Bieber remains the star of the release, it's hard not to hear the ladies and gentlemen who worked with the 18-year-old. The collaborations stand as one of the hallmarks of the album.</P><P><img src="http://www.mtv.com/shared/promoimages/bands/b/bieber_justin/infographic_6_degrees/sixdegrees.jpg"></P><P><a href="/news/articles/1687691/justin-bieber-believe-album-details.jhtml"><i>Believe</i></a> sounds like a who's who of music's A-list elite, who give Bieber the backup he needs to make a <a href="/news/articles/1687569/justin-bieber-live-evolution.jhtml">more mature musical statement</a>. With names like Big Sean, Nicki Minaj, Drake and his old pal Ludacris all making cameos, their appearances are highlighted by production credits with pop and hip-hop masters like Diplo, Rodney Jerkins, the Messengers, Mike Posner, Max Martin and Hit-Boy.</P><P>Looking at the roster of talent who wanted to work with the maturing pop stud, you find they are mostly artists and producers who have not only been circling Bieber for some time, but also each other.</P><P>In fact, it's easy to connect these folks in six degrees of separation: <b>Drake</b> and <b>Nicki Minaj</b> are no strangers to working with one another, having appeared most recently on "Make Me Proud" off Drake's <i>Take Care</i>. Nicki has also hooked up with <b>Hit-Boy</b> for several tracks on her <i>Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded</i>. And, Hit-Boy's association with G.O.O.D. Music was famously catalogued on Jay-Z's and Kanye West's "N---as in Paris," which makes him a close, personal friend of <b>Big Sean</b>. Big Sean's <i>Believe</i> track, "As Long As You Love Me," got the production treatment from <b>Rodney Jerkins</b>, who previously worked with <b>Ludacris</b> on his song "What Them Girls Like," which brings us back to Bieber: Bieber and Luda originally laid the foundation for a beautiful friendship on the teen's defining tune "Baby."</P><P>Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, explained the generation of all of the collaborations to MTV News:</P><P>"Kanye was like, 'You should get Big Sean on that record.' And we're close with Sean, and Sean just jumped on there. It was very natural," Braun recalled. "Luda, of course, we did 'Baby.' We played 'All Around the World,' and we were like, 'Who would make sense?' And Justin's like, 'Luda would kill it.'</P><P>"Nicki was getting on another one of our records, and then we did 'Beauty and the Beat,' and she heard it, and she was like, 'I want to get on that.' And, actually, we were gonna put Usher on it at first, but then we heard Nicki's verse, and we were like, 'Damn.' "</P><P>Of course, those collaborations came up a bit more spur of the moment, but there's one that had been long in-the-works. "The Drake thing is something he and Drake have been talking about for like two years," Braun said. "And then they finally went into the studio, and they wrote that song together. ... I'm glad that 'Right Here' came about. ... Drake was like, 'I don't want to do just a rap song. I want to sing with you, do a song for the ladies.' Everyone seems to love that song."</P><P><i>Which is your favorite collaboration on </i>Believe<i>? Share your pick below!</i></P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="'Bieber Live'" id="id:1687833" width="415" height="255"></div><p></p>
