The Jonas Brothers have officially broken up. After ditching their tour due to a “deep, creative rift” (despite not being creative), the band of brothers are calling it quits for now.
Kevin Jonas told People Magazine that the group was disbanding. He said, “It’s over for now,” and mentioned that the decision was “unanimous.”
And it seems that the brothers are breaking up on good terms, which makes sense seeing as they are siblings. The group will be on Good Morning America on Wednesday to discuss the breakup.
The brothers also gave hope o their fans, adding that the breakup might not be forever. Nick Jonas added, “It’s really hard to say ‘forever.’ We’re closing a chapter, for sure.”
The decision to breakup came after an Oct. 3 meeting in which Nick told his brothers he had concerns about the future of the band. A couple of weeks ago, the trio pulled the plug on their tour due to a “deep, creative rift.” Also, the group’s official Twitter account was deleted the following week.
According to THR the disagreements among the brothers “became clear during a meeting to discuss their long-anticipated fifth album.”
“Once they realized they couldn’t agree on music, it became a question of, ‘Why would we want to go out on tour right now?’ Their thought process was to get everything straight in terms of the creative. It was not a small thing [to call off the tour],” said the source.
What do you think? Do you care?
