In 2015, Lady Gaga will try to conquer space. The pop star is going to perform at the Zero-G Music Tech Festival, which will require her to rehearse for a whole month. Also, Metric released a new music video this week. All that and more below.
- Lady Gaga Will Perform In Space: Lady Gaga is planning to sing in space, Us Weekly reports. The show will go down in 2015 in conjunction with the Zero-G Music Tech Festival at New Mexico’s Spaceport America. She’ll go aboard the Virgin Galactic spaceship for “a performance that is reportedly planned for dawn on the festival’s third day.” Gaga will have to do a month of rehearsals because of the change in atmosphere. - Janelle Monae Postpones Tour: Janelle Monae has postponed tour dates to rest her voice. The singer posted on her website that she’s under strict orders from her doctor for “mandatory vocal rest.” She wrote on her website: “Starting today, I am under strict doctor’s orders for mandatory vocal rest. Not doing so could possibly result in damage to my vocal cords. Unfortunately, this diagnosis means I will have to postpone my coming concerts in Anaheim, San Diego and Phoenix, a fact which truly leaves me heartsick and shaken because I live for this: connecting with you and giving you a one of a kind concert experience. But alas, apparently even the most expertly designed android breaks down sometimes and must recharge… I promise to see you sooner than you think my friends, stronger than ever. I love you all dearly.”
- Pitbull To Host AMAs: Pitbull is set to host the American Music Awards when they air live on November 24th on ABC. The rapper will also perform his new song “Timber” alongside Ke$ha. Pitbull’s hosting duties will in part pay tribute to the AMAs tradition of highlighting Latino artists over the past 25 years:
- New MGMT Music Video: Here’s the new music video for Metric’s Synthetica, off their 2012 lbum. Check it out:
