Congratulations are in order for Amanda Beard and Sacha Brown.
The seven-time Olympic medalist and her husband welcomed their second child on Wednesday. “Doone Isla Brown was born happy and healthy June 19th at 3:34 p.m.,” the proud mom announced on her blog, Swim Like a Mom.
The couple – who are already parents to son Blaise Ray, 3½ — shared a sweet snapshot of baby Doone bundled in a blanket.
In March, the Olympic mom opened up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about her hopes for another natural birth.
“I’m hoping to have a similar birth as I did with Blaise,” she shared. “I was in labor for a little over 24 hours but he came out healthy and happy so to me it was perfect. A lot of people tell me the second one can come faster so hopefully that will be true and we can cut out some of those painful contraction hours.”
“As far as names go we have a couple in mind, but nothing for sure,” Amanda continued. “We will most likely have a unique name like our son Blaise. Picking a name is stressful and fun! It’s a huge responsibility to choose a child’s name for the rest of their life and we are taking it very seriously.”
