Even though Incubus is on hiatus, frontman and founder Brandon Boyd is keeping busy. He’s announced a new record, which according to him, is ready to be released. Also, John Mayer is heading back on tour after three years of dealing with throat issues. And The Eagles have also announced that they’ll be hitting the road later this year. All that and more below.

  • Brandon Boyd Announces New Record, Despite Incubus Hiatus: Incubus’ Brandon Boyd will release a followup album to his 2010 solo debut The Wild Trapeze. Rolling Stone reports that the rock band is going on hiatus, so it’ll be a while before they release another record. But Boyd’s not taking a break; he’s prepping new music. “It’s done, it’s mastered,” Boyd said about the sophomore album,” It’ll probably come out sometime this summer. It’s ready to come out now, but logistics and stuff like that.” If you’re wondering what the new material will sound like, he said it’s like “oddball pop.” Thoughts?

He told the magazine that his recovery is a dream come true. Mayer’s first show will be in April at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater in Alabama.
  • The National To Release New Music: The National has announced plans to release a new record titled Trouble Will Find Me. The followup to 2010′s High Violet will be the band’s sixth studio album . According to the A.V. Club, the band has a bunch of tour dates scheduled in the near future, including appearances at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and the Bonnaroo Festival.
  • Eagles Going On Tour: The Eagles are hitting the road once again. The tour, which the A.V. Club rightfully points out will probably “cost an arm and a leg to attend,” will kick off July 6 in Louisville Kentucky. Here’s the full list of dates:
