Those pesky rumors that Jennifer Lopez is saying good-bye to American Idol just might turn out to be true. Lopez appeared on the Today show this morning and gave some insight to her future with the hit show.
For weeks now there has been speculation that J. Lo would be leaving AI. This morning in an interview with Natalie Morales when asked about her plans for returning to the Fox show, Jennifer replied “ It might be time for me to go.” Granted that is not a firm I am leaving but as you can see from the below video of the interview, Lopez is clearly torn about whether or not to continue on with the show.
Morales was not letting the issue drop either. She continued to press Jennifer for a definite answer. I mean Lopez was totally answering Natalie’s questions; the interviewer just clearly didn’t like the answer she was getting. Basically the actress, who was there to promote her Ice Age Continental Drift film, was that she wasn’t giving a “I am leaving” or “I am staying” answer right now.
All in all I thought the interview was kind of uncomfortable. As always Lopez handled herself with style and grace but still awkward. I also really think that she is not going to resign with American Idol for another season but just isn’t ready to make the announcement official. She talked about how much she loved working with Steven, Randy and Ryan and I genuine think she does but I think she will move. Let’s be honest girl has a lot going on and the show was lucky to get her for the two seasons they had her. That is my two cent on the interview as well as what I think Jennifer will do.
